Executive Assistant to the Founders
About Us
Jar is India’s leading Daily Saving app that helps people build strong saving habits—one small step at a time. Our goal is to make saving simple, rewarding, and truly life-changing. Founded in 2021 by Misbah Ashraf and Nishchay AG, Jar is a Bengaluru-based startup with one simple belief: saving a little every day in 24K Digital Gold can truly transform your future.
Today, 20 million+ Indians trust Jar as their saving partner. With flexible saving options—Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Instant Saving—we have made it easy for everyone to save in their own way and withdraw anytime. We are one of the leaders in UPI autopay transactions, crossing more than 1 million transactions per day. In 2023, we expanded our vision with Nek, our jewelry brand crafted to bring together luxury and affordability, it has since surpassed ₹100 crore in revenue.
We have a big dream of bringing “Har Ghar Sona”. Small, consistent savings are just the start. We’re here to walk alongside our users, helping Indians secure their financial future every step of the way.
Backed by Tiger Global Management, Arkam Ventures, and WEH Ventures, among others, we have raised $50 million+ in funding. In January 2025, we hit a huge milestone of becoming profitable. Now, we’re charging ahead, focused on sustainable growth and scaling impact.
And this is just the beginning!
What's the role?
Jar is India’s premier financial fitness platform, guiding millions toward smarter savings with effortless ease. As EA to the founders, you would serve as the single point of coordination that makes everything work across time zones, contexts and competing priorities.
This is a high-trust, high-context role, and the right person becomes invaluable within months.
What will be your responsibilities?
Calendar Management
Time is the scarcest resource here, and you would own how it gets spent. This means:
- Building schedules that match energy to importance (hard meetings when fresh, admin when tired); proactively scheduling meetings and anticipating needs
- Protecting focus time while ensuring critical relationships don't go stale
- Creating "hit lists" before every trip — who must I see in Dubai? London? Bangalore? Mumbai? New York?
- Managing across multiple time zones
- Preparing daily briefs highlighting priorities
Communication Management
You are the first to draft most external communications and the router for inbound ones. This means:
- Knowing when to send a polite decline vs. a "let's revisit in 3 months" vs. a warm intro.
- Drafting and manage correspondence end-to-end.
- Tracking action items from meetings and ensure timely completion.
- Maintaining organised systems for deadlines and deliverables.
Travel Coordination
- Arranging domestic and international travel, including flights, visas, accommodations, and ground transportation.
- Building detailed itineraries and handling last-minute changes.
Team Coordination
You don't have direct reports, but you work through others constantly:
- Routing requests to the right team member, following up with relevant parties to keep projects moving forward and ensuring resolution.
- Flagging and addressing potential issues or bottlenecks pre-emptively.
- Serving as a bridge between my expectations and execution of direct reports (as you have the highest visibility on my priorities).
Project Driver
Some examples
- Anniversary/birthdays/weddings: Making sure that critical people in team and our network - important dates are marked somewhere and we are able to wish them on time/send gifts.
- Sprints: Scheduling 29+ meetings in a new city within a 3-day window.
- Leadership offsite: Venue, guest list, budget, logistics – all coordinated.
- Personal projects: Family logistics, housing transitions, daily meals, etc.
What’s required from you?
Top Traits
- Ability to build systems: A lot of this job involves taking incoming chaos, triaging it against actual priorities, structuring it so it can be tackled, and following through until it's done – so you need to be someone who naturally creates order and builds systems rather than someone who thrives in perpetual improvisation.
- Very strong with communications: Strong communication skills matter enormously, and concise is better than comprehensive. If you can say something clearly in three sentences instead of six, that's what we want – brevity that still delivers the message without losing warmth or clarity.
- Great judgment under ambiguity: "Schedule something with Aryan next week" is enough. You know Aryan is P1, prefers evening, and is based in NYC/Palo Alto every other week.
- Written precision: Your emails are clear, warm and half the length most people would write.
- Relentless follow-through: If you say you'll do something, it happens, and you don't need reminders to make sure of it.
Must Have
- You're someone who's obsessed with getting things done without needing follow-up, and you understand the difference between 98% and 100% – that last two percent matters here.
- You've big ambitions in life and you're interested in this role as a stepping stone to get a sense of how a fast-growing startup operates. We will be delighted to hear and support you when you've decided to found a startup of your own, or pursue a more challenging role.
Nice to Have
- Event planning or project management background.
- Calm in chaos: Housing falls through with 24 hours notice? Flight cancels? You solve it, then report it.
